Programs
At Icon Performance, we know that no two bodies are alike. After thousands of personal training sessions and hours of research, we have developed a spectrum of programs to fit any body type, age, and physical health type.
Before we begin any program, an Icon trainer will meet with you and run you through a few physical exercises to determine starting strength, flexibility, agility, endurance, etc… It is all part of customizing any of our programs to better suit your needs
and goals.
Below is the list of programs we offer here at Icon Performance. We have provided a brief description of who the program is suited for, what to expect on the program, and how to determine if this is the right program for YOU!

ICON Performance Senior Fitness
Older Americans – those over 50, to be exact – can look forward to a fitness and wellness program designed especially for their needs.
“Fabulous after Fifty,” is a progressive fitness program designed to help with the loss of fitness, both mental and physical as we age. It is the most important factor challenging our future independence and quality of life. This is a new concept backed by scientific study to improve fitness and mental acuity for the mature adult under safe clinical supervision.
“One scientific study found that strenuous physical activity can help women – even senior citizens – increase their resistance to invasive breast cancer by more than 20 percent. Over 125,000 women were studied in the two research projects and included women up to 79 years of age. Published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, and the JAMA/Archives journals.”
At the first visit, specially trained fitness coaches and physical therapists will evaluate your overall level of fitness and specific areas of de-conditioning. They will help customize your exercise program and monitor your progress at every session, coaching you to a new and better level of vitality.
Even if you have passed 70 or 80, and you are what is called “sedentary” (tending to sit most of the time and getting little exercise), there is still hope to improve your physical functioning and reduce the likelihood of becoming disabled in the future. This is according to a new study of elderly people ages 70 to 89.

ICON Performance Nutritional Consultation
At ICON Performance we believe that 80-90% of your daily function, good and bad, is a direct result of what you put or do not put in your mouth. Good nutrition habits and proper nutrient timing are important aspects of our client’s development. Our nutrition program, developed and instructed by our Exercise Physiologist, is designed to fit the needs of every client we train.
Nutrition Assessment
This one-hour consultation with our Exercise Physiologist includes a complete evaluation of height, weight, BMI, body fat and diet history. The dietary history also includes a medical health history, a supplement and current medication history, and a injury / surgical history. We use the initial assessment to design a course of action for our clients who are looking to improve the quality of their diet and life.
Individual Nutrition
Our purpose is to help our clients with specific nutrition goals such as body fat loss, muscular weight gain, dermal integrity, bone density, joint pain, immune system, energy issues, even leveling out the ebbs and flows of biofeedback and nutrient timing for optimum performance.
We’ll help you adopt a healthier lifestyle by teaching you how to:
* Read food labels
* Estimate portion sizes
* Plan healthy meals and snacks
* Estimate macronutrient amounts and when to ingest them
* Talk about dietary habits; creating good ones and destroying bad ones
* Eliminate myths about fad diets
* Simplifying the lifestyle changing process to lessen the stress
* The best way to use supplements and if they are needed
* To design the diet to co-exist smoothly with your current doctor prescribed meds
* And more…
ICON Performance Elite Speed
From the developing youth athlete trying to make the team to the professional athlete trying to stay ahead of the competition, developing one’s potential to run and move faster than he/she has ever moved before has become our passion here at ICON.
We have coaches and trainers that have devoted, not only countless hours, but countless years to learning and teaching the most evolved and cutting-edge methodologies in speed development.
We have broken down the human movement of running down to every last detail and will test and train those aspects to maximize your athlete’s absolute potential. One of our mantras here at ICON is,
Every Sport, Every Level, Every Age
and we are completely confident that what we can bring to the table is state-of-the-art and GUARANTEED to work no matter who walks through our doors.
ICON Tennis Speed, Strength & Conditioning gives you a competitive advantage. Spend a little time understanding how to train optimally for the demands of your sport and you will reap the rewards on the court!
A well-designed tennis strength training program can work wonders for your game… Long gone are the days when coaches believed all forms of strength training were detrimental to sports demanding finely-tuned skills.
* Increased power in serves, forehands, backhands, volleys… in fact every type of shot.
* Greater speed and acceleration around the court allowing you to get into position for more shots.
* Improved muscular endurance helping you to maintain a high level of performance during tough rallies… even those at the end of the match.
* Reduced occurrence of injuries from over-use and muscular imbalances in the body.
*
If you take the game seriously, a tennis strength training program should be high on your agenda.
It doesn’t need to be overly complicated, but it DOES need to more refined than those “off the shelf” programs found in every commercial fitness magazine.
Special Considerations in Tennis Strength Training
In sports like tennis and golf, overuse injuries of the wrist, elbow and rotator cuff muscles are all too common. Most weight training exercises predominantly target the larger muscles groups. So while they get stronger and stronger, the smaller, more isolated muscles get neglected… That doesn’t normally cause a problem until you expose your body to thousands of repetitive movements that incorporate the larger AND the smaller muscle groups – like a forehand drive.
So while you hit harder and harder shots (as the strength in your large muscles groups increases), those finer muscles are placed under a disproportionate amount of stress. The best way to compensate for this is to target and isolate those smaller muscle groups before they become over-worked. By adding a few choice exercises for the forearm and rotator cuff muscles to your tennis strength

Make the Competition say UNCLE!
What exactly does it take to be successful in combat sports? There is much confusion on this subject and with good reason. Do you need to be stronger? Is getting faster the answer? Will a bigger, more muscular athlete have an advantage on the mat? Should you only train for endurance and hope that you can outlast your opponents?
Unless you have completed several hundred Hindu squats in a row, and have experienced the pain and burning that comes along with it, you cannot demand that others do so. Myself and my coaches have spent years on the D1 level and know what it’s all about. With Icon in your corner, you will greatly improve your performance as a combat athlete and be able to readily make the competition say UNCLE!
What is it going to take to be successful in combat sports?

Anaerobic Endurance
